Create A New Logo For Favorite Brand

Image
I made a new logo for Google, where I used each letter to symbolize something. This is the old logo.

Warhol-esque Digital Painting

Image
I used the Stamp Tool in the Filter Gallery to create a piece similar to Warhol's. I used Steve Jobs.

Georgia-O'Keefe Inspired Digital Painting

Image
I made a painting of a poppy using Georgia-O'Keefe's style. I shaded a lot and had fun with it.

Digital Post-Impressionist Portrait

Image
For this assignment, I used a dotted brush to create a portrait of Spongebob. This was easier than the landscape in my opinion, and I had fun making it. He is missing his nose! On the right is my source image.

Digital Post-Impressionist Landcape

Image
I used a dotted brush to draw this landscape of the Swiss Alps and the surrounding area. It was pretty difficult.

Digital Painting of Choice- Sketchbook

Image
For my digital painting of choice, I made a futuristic alley. I purposely didn't color the buildings, and I only colored the signs to make them stand out. I didn't have an actual inspiration for this, I just felt like doing it.

Sketchbook Composition: Formal/Informal Balance

Image
I made a perfectly symmetrical wrestler for this project. This is an example of a formal balance. I had fun making this man look very weird.

Street Art Piece in Sketchbook Pro

Image
This assignment was really fun. I made my first initial on a brick wall and then added more design to it to make it look like street art. I was inspired by graffiti and other street art.

ArtRage Stencils: Rhythm and Movement

Image
I made this in Artrage using stencils. I learned how to use stencils, but I didn't really like this project.

Rothko-Esque Painting in Artrage

Image
This is my Rothko-Esque Painting (Left). I made it in Artrage by shading colors together, and I was inspired by Mark Rothko's Orange and Yellow Painting (Right).

Celebrity with Animal Name

Image
This is my Celebrity with Animal Name. I used Wolf Blitzer, and it was really fun turning him into a wolf! Although all of the shading took a while, this was definitely one of my favorites. Mrs. Forrest said I could use the standard CNN font for Wolf Blitzer, so I did that instead of doing my own font.

Scanned Felt Tip Drawing

Image
Below is my Scanned Felt Tip Drawing that I made on Sketchbook Pro. I created a city that encompassed skyscrapers and buildings from all over the world, like the One World Trade Center in New York, the Burj Khalifa from Dubai, Rogers Centre in Toronto, and the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai. This is my original drawing.

Nine Panel Comic Strip

Image
This is my 9 Panel Comic Strip. I made a story of a man who ate a magical fig, and became Figman. In the process, he destroyed his whole neigborhood, and his neighbor became angry. The neighbor finds the half-eaten fig, and he eats the rest. Then, he gets magic powers and can clone himself. In the edn, Figman and Captain Fig (The neigbor that wants to kill Figman) face off in front of the Burj Khalifa. This was really fun to make, but it took some time. Eliseo helped me to get the idea to make this.

Color/Shaded Scene of Choice Cartoon

Image
This is my Color/Shaded Scene of Choice Cartoon. I made a scene in a futuristic planet, where a villain is trying to kill two super heroes. I used gradients and patterns to color. Below is a source image.

Bird Coloring Page Assignment

Image
This is my bird coloring page assignment. I used two types of feathers, and I tried to make the bottom of the bird look like a cob corn. It took a while, but I had fun making it. On the bottom is the original picture.
